As mentioned the obvious risk with cardpool is that by the time you finally physically receive your gift cards a few days later at best the rate might easily be 10+% less thus putting you in the hole for the purchase.

I don't believe REDcard gets you any discount on Target GCs. That is true of their debit and credit cards, I don't see why it would be any different for the prepaid.

Are you saying that you have used either the debit red card or credit red card on the purchase of target gift cards in the past, and the transaction was not 5% off?

If so, that is strange. Both the credit and debit red cards currently give 5% off on the purchase of third-party gift cards.

Guys...are you not seeming what I am seeing?

1- Buy a $100 gift card for $90
2- Use the $100 to buy a $111 card
3- Use the $111 to buy a $123
4- Use the $123 to buy a $137
lol
5- Use the $137 to buy a $152
6- Use the $152 to buy a $169
7- Use the $169 to buy $188

You got the picture?

Now that I think about my math, you just have to roll from one register to the other or if the cashier is nice, you can just stick around there with a cup of coffee, a donut and just keep swiping like the swiper keeps swiping

Read the term closer. You will find that your brilliant plan is not going to work.

Tried using Redbird to buy the Target gift cards-- no 5% discount. At least not right before clicking the "order" button.

Almost missed the deal as I did not notice the validity was Central Time only (kind of stupid for a national company to start a promo at 4am here). Nonetheless we were able to order $600 in ecerts using 2 accounts. Nice to save $60 - and $200 already sent as holiday gifts Oh and the points from the spend (which we would get anyway)

I did miss it... First chance I had to get to a computer was a little after 10am and by that time it was already gone...

I was in for $900 in these cards. Seems that on the back, they are special Event cards and not the regular gift cards so they have an 11 digit # and not the normal 15 Digit, so I find that Cardpool does not work in trying to sell them. I have sent them a note to see how it can be adjusted on their site to accept 11 digit cards. It's always something as Rosanne Rosanna Dana said!

Cheers!

The 15 digit code is on the left, under the cover. Scrape it off with a coin.
