HEADS UP: meijer rolling out $200 visas and amex

Meijer appears to have loaded $200 with $6.95 fee visas and amex into their system but not stocked the product at all stores. Combine with 5% grocery card (amex blue) and 3% online GC discount.

The cards might be behind the racks, you'll have to pull it open and root around the bins.

I assume it's YMMV, but have you successfully bought in-store GCs with Meijer GCs?

Yes, it works. It's always YMMV, but I have never had a problem.

Computer lets you. it's YMMV if cashier lets you. So I always use self checkout, less chance of being caught.

Are they associated with Kroger? These cards would probably be eligible for fuel points. I'd buy a ton of them.

No. There's a chain called "Fred Meyer" that's a Kroger chain. Meijer (founded by Fred Meijer, adding to the confusion) is a competitor of Kroger.

Why would I want to jump through hoops to net 1/2% more than what I can net with a 5% GGD alone?

The time spent waiting for bulk gc to arrive is worth more in lost opportunity cost to most.

I Think you answered your own question. Plus you can also get 2 hhonors pts/$ thru portal. PLUS you can use self checkout, less risk and hassle.

Meijer GC is faster than most, order on Sunday, get in mail on Friday.

Is the 3% online GC discount from Meijer.com?
