This is frustrating. I've also tried 3 different cards & now it says maximum limit reaches for the specified time.
That, coupled with my recent denial of Amex International Payments account makes me believe Amex sucks big time.

That was the initial early debate on if the miles would be awarded if one was used. So you are saying the miles posted using a code?

cowboyguy, I'm confused, did you get the 3 miles per dollar email from Delta? Sounds more like an email for a Fee Free (No Purchase Charge) promotion.

Judy, I cut and pasted the T&C. There are 4 sentences to read. Did you stop reading after the first sentence? Perhaps this explains your confusion. All of the portals have similar language as far as the first 2 sentences. This was never the the issue. The issue was the 3rd sentence which states "Offer is only valid on the purchase fee". Given my miles posted on the purchase amount (not the purchase fee) this would appear to be a typo. Yes, I used a fee-free code. There is no guarantee my miles will not be clawed back. If you are looking for "safe" then don't do this deal. Pimping bigcrumbs and TCB referrals is probably safer.
For those willing to educated risks, hopefully my feedback above will help.
