fyi, Flint issues 1099k. You are better off not using them.

Is Bluepay a regular business merchant account? Do they require full underwriting of your business like a regular merchant account? Are you getting a terminal?

How much transaction volume are we talking about here? Over 10k a month? I guess I am just starting the MS and only doing min spend for bonuses 1 card at a time, so my MS can be met with RB easily.

That is true. However, I've seen 1099-Ks issued for much less.

Word of caution... they issue a 1099k even for sub 1k sales.

I used it for 5 $100 transactions (fee-free Amex GCs from Office Depot I had to liquidate b/c Redbird died right after I obtained these) and then stopped. When I signed up it was only 5 transactions for 30 days, whichever happens first.

See Grant's warning though: http://travelwithgrant.boardingarea....facture-spend/

Flint is useless. You may be able to do small transactions. But from what I've seen if you do the same amount more than once, or do the max for each transaction, then they will ask you verify a bunch of info.

I had some problems unloading a VGC to Redbird at Target today, which seems to match an unconfirmed report of Target starting to hardcode against VGCs. Let's assume worst case scenario and Redbird is dead.

I currently have a $500 VGC to unload, and need to spend about $500 more on my Chase Ink to meet minimum spend. For the sake of quickly doing this and researching other MS methods later, could I get a Square, swipe the VGC for $500, swipe my Ink for $500, never use the Square again and get away with it? Would that be enough to risk a shutdown and headache?
