free night @ north island - 10 days to book
[ SPECIAL OFFER - Imagine, an extra night on North Island - ON US! ]
We at Wilderness Safaris have just celebrated our silver anniversary of safari operating - 25 years of developing a business of wildlife appreciation and responsible tourism - and we wanted to offer something special to our loyal network of partners. In line with this, we at North Island would like to further acknowledge the support that you have given specifically to the island in the last 6 years of operation.
We realize that along our journey, you, our partners, have offered us great support for which we are grateful. Now, with so many of our partners facing the challenges of a struggling world economy, we want to offer you extra support to help you with your bookings, to stimulate your customer base and to close deals. It’s time to work together!
We at Wilderness Safaris also see this as an opportunity to promote our concept of ‘partnering the trade’ to carry us into the next phase of development with our international partners. What we offer is not a reactionary, kneejerk ‘special’. But a well thought-out response to the information we’ve been gathering from around the world. From this assessment, we have concluded that there is no better time to strengthen our commitment to one another and begin this next phase of enhancing partnerships with you, your clients, our African partners, and with the
wilderness.
Terms and Conditions:
• New bookings only.
• Bookings to be made before the end of February 2009, for travel before 15th May 2009
• No conversion of confirmed bookings
• This is valid for all new bookings only and has a limited booking period up until the end of February 2009.
• It applies for guests traveling up until our closure on 15th May 2009.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: North Island will be closed from 04 May 2009 to 31 October 2009 (both days included) for a planned expansion and upliftment process which includes enhancements to the existing villas as well as the building of three additional private villas on the island. article mentions "10 new spa suites attached to villas next year" during renovations. and the 3 new villas are indeed going to be larger "family-oriented dwellings."

doh, no new villas.
closed may 15 - aug 15
We have altered the second phase of our plans for the island primarily by postponing the building of the three larger villas until we are more confident that there is sufficient demand for them.
We have had an overwhelming guest response for us to retain the existing spa and so we will renovate this area rather than replace it and will re-equip the gym. Villas 1 to 10 will be significantly renovated and Villa 11 (Villa North) will be enhanced

Cost
A woman was buying tomatoes at a market stall. There were two baskets of tomatoes - one at $3 a pound and the other at $5 a pound. She asked the stallholder for a pound of the best tomatoes, at $5. She was shocked to see that the stallholder was scooping up tomatoes from the $3 basket, so she intervened and pointed out that she had asked for the more expensive tomatoes. The stallholder shrugged and said "They are all the same. It's just that some people like to pay more."
How many of you feel that the high-end resorts in the Seychelles are a little like that?

fregate and north are pretty private.
and at least fregate's villas are huge.
will be interesting to see the renovations at north. the larger villas might also be a better value, whenever they build them.
