Maybe it's just me, but we haven't received a room upgrade in a while even though we have booked with FS preferred partner agent. I'm not sure if our membership in the By Invitation Program (now finished) had the opposite effect, or if we just have bad luck, but in our last 4 stays at FS properties, in past 7 months, all different locations, we haven't received any upgrades. Is this the new normal? Not sure. Doesn't seem like frequent guests get much in the loyalty department. But, I will still continue to book with FS preferred partner, if only for the complimentary breakfast.
On the contrary, our stays at Peninsula properties we have been lucky to get multi level upgrades, each time.
