Amanpulo Pool Casitas

The West Villa casitas at Amanpulo (which don't have great views) now both have small private pools - Numbers 41 and 42. They hope to build more, too.

Good to hear! The lack of private pools is an issue in my eyes.

Concur. But having seen a picture of both the private pool and the view from it , I have to say that both look pretty mediocre. I hope they add private pools to some casitas that have better views / are on the beach.

The pictures you are referring to are available on the net?

I see what you mean - not a great view! The view in the Maldives looks much nicer - sounds like a great trip!

BTW - looking at the Twitter feed for last Friday it would appear that GG was listening to the same radio station as me.

View is not so nice but there is a private swimming pool.
View from beach casitas are limited due to the lush vegetation I guess and no private pool.
What would be your choice for this is you who already stayed at Amanpulo?

I would definitely go for a beach casita instead of one of these with private pool. The pulo beach is a dream!!

+1

Although the views / sunsets will be spectacular from these tree top casitas , unlike what is shown on that Twitter shot , I ' d rather be on the beach .
Some casitas have the foliage ' pruned ' so you get a good view yet giving one privacy .
Also , I really don ' t care for the climb up from what I recall

its west villa, not regular treetop

Thank you for your advice
I think we'll still try the pool tree top casita despite your preference for the beach location. Private pool (even small) is a real benefit for us, and we'll have plenty of time to wander and enjoy the beach and public areas during the day.
