Check in by phone possible in US ?
Lack of search drives me
Is it possible to use check in by phone in the US ?
This page:
Link to LH check in page
is not really clear.
The page says:
First and Business Class passengers may conveniently check in from anywhere in Europe by phone or fax. In Germany, for example, just call 0561 - 99 33 99, and your boarding pass will be waiting for you at the airport. Or send a fax: 0561-9933155.
Time for phone check-in: 5.30 am - 11.00 pm & 30 minutes before departure.
Time for fax check-in: 7.00 am - 10:00 pm & 2 hours before departure.
In the USA, they are as follows:
Phone Number: 1-800-645-3880
Fax Numer: 1-516-296-9336
It then proceeds to spell out the check in deadlines for all US airports...
Thanks...

I've checked in for all kinds of LH flights using the US 1-800 number. No problem if you are travelling C or F or if you are FTL/SEN.
I suggest you get your hands on a printed timetable. In there, you get a list of the local phone checkin number for the destinations served by LH. Never had any issues calling those numbers to checkin for Y as a FTL.
