Correct: if transferring between terminals at FRA the bus (or the skytrain) is much quicker than walking!

However since at FRA all LH flights arrive and depart in T1, OP will not be needing to go from one terminal to another!

Thanks, everyone, for your postings - all very helpful. To respond to one post in particular about not questioning the tight connection time before I was ticketed, I originally booked this United award 300 days in advance and then United altered its schedule, and my original itinerary was no longer possible. United offered me this partner itinerary and I took it, as I wasn't able to find anything better. One of the challenges of booking an award ticket 300 or so days in advance is the flights are likely to be changed, although now at 120 days out, it's only likely to be tweaked. Thanks, all!

What bus and what other terminal? With flights being on time and the US flights normally coming in early this should not be a problem

I had a one hour connection yesterday. Our arrival gate changed from something in B to a bus transportation, so I had to wait for the entire plane to de-board into to busses. They brought us to the A terminal. I am lucky that I dashed toward the front of the line when we entered the building, but I still spent 20 minutes in the passport line (only 2 people were working at the desk). I made it to my gate with about 10 minutes to spare; had I not been towards the front of the passport line, I am not sure I would have made it.
