LH is only taking 5 more A320neos this year as PW is behind on engine orders:

In other news the space flex part II (the galley mods) developed with Diehl is now being marketed:

Hope the dust of standing around for more than 3 months was blown off

As an aside related to earlier discussions here, I had flown in NE within first two weeks of service (VIE-FRA) and it didn't seem to me that legroom was particularly worse compared to other airlines or even other LH group A320s. Are they all the same cabin?

Now, the lack of coffee, that was a much worse part of the morning flight. 2 weeks old and coffeemaker already INOP! Scandalous.

NI was delivered today:

The A32V layout with space flex lav and galley (which includes the A320 neo and about 8 A320 CEO based in MUC) has slightly more pitch ahead of the emergency exit row and slightly less pitch behind the exit rows. So far I have only managed to sit ahead (like on my flight to OSL tomorrow) so can't comment how it feels.

The space flex lav feels ok to me, better than a crj, embraer or B736 tail lav.

I don't quite remember the row, but I was trying to put us more towards the front, as the connection time was less then ideal in FRA, so it's likely we were in front of the exits.

No words on lavatory, haven't been in there this flight.

I finally managed to fly on a LH A32N! My first A320NEO flight! Yay!
The flight was LH963 Edinborough to Frankfurt, operated by D-AINE, I had seat 5A in C. The service was okay, I still like the fact that FA now greet you by your name, well at least sometimes. Food not as good as on the FRA-EDI flight operated by A321, but that has hardly to do with the AC.
Seat pitch isn't bad but I must say the first rows of the old A321 (I was in 2A) I had just flown before seemed to offer more space as well as bigger tray tables? But that just be my mind playing tricks since in the first few rows there should be more pitch than in the old A320s (31 vs 30 if I recall correctly). The back of the A320neo is another story though (and I hope I will never have to sit there 180 seats and now they are even thinking about 186 reeeee).
Shortly before landing I did check out the lavatories and I think I have never seen such a tiny lavatory in my life ever. For a C Class lav this is just not good enough. You can't even turn around properly! And I'm only 1.80!

For now the A320neo is still a rarity to fly on and in contrary to my hundreds of flights on the old A320s I have grown up wth it has to redeem itself a little more before I'll actually start to like it. (Probably because I don't like my good old A320s being replaced I don't like change)

What I'll miss the most is familiar whirring of the old CFM56 engines when they are at full power for take-off. But the sound of the new geared PW engines isn't bad either
