Showstoppers at Wynn.
That may have be the best show on the strip in years. Great voices. If you're over 45, you have to see it. Supposedly, he did it for his wife for a birthday present (wife #4?) and she suggested he turn it into a show. Wise choice.
I'm surprised they didn't do one of the great scenes from West Side Story or South Pacific. Then it would have been perfect.
My favorite moment was watching a guy buy two drinks and one popcorn. It came to $53.00 and I thought he was going to have a cardiac arrest. My $16.00 Showstopper special drink ended up costing $18.95. Why isn't tax included in the listed prices?

Steve Wynn is promoting ShowStoppers big time here in LAS. TV, magazines, radio, billboards, etc. Performances run Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and 10 p.m. There are no performances on Sunday and Monday.
My firm has received COMP tickets to this show twice, simply to fill seats. I have not seen it. My firm receives these free tickets all the time for different shows. A good example was Shania Twain at Caesars right before they did not renew her contract. I have no idea why the show would be dark during very busy times such as Spring Break, March Madness and many conventions in town. Perhaps they are using the showroom for something else?

LAS is known to keep shows short, so you return back to the Casino floor. Many shows were reduced from 2 hours on Broadway to around 1 hours 20 mins in LAS Casino Showrooms, such as Phantom of the Opera, Blue Man Group and others. It is a shame as most shows are overpriced in LAS. One place to see shows is The Smith Center. Is is a beautiful facility located in Downtown Las Vegas. It is fairly new and gets some great shows.

We've seen two shows at the Smith Center. Very nice place.
I heard the only show on the strip that wasn't abbreviated was Jersey Boys, because whoever was in charge refused to have it shown unless it was the full version.

On the ticket sites there do not seem to be any show dates after November 30th.
Is this because it is too early to book now, or because the show is closing down after that date?
We are visiting Las Vegas in December and have shortlisted Mystere, Jersey Boys and Showstoppers to go and see.
The reduced prices look great and I am assuming even with the Rodeo in town, these shows are likely to have reduced tickets available in December, and so I did not plan on any ticket purchases until we got into town, ideally waiting for same-day sales. Or am I being naieve and they will all be sell out shows with the result being I will be in the dog-house for being tight with my money?

I saw the show back in December, just the 2nd or 3rd night it had been open. I am in my early 30s, and it was a little too old-timey for me, but my mom, for whom it was a Christmas present, loved it. We had a good time. It didn't hurt that we had pretty good seats up close in the middle (the prices seem to have gone up considerably since I bought them) and several of the ladies in the show are not lacking in their....fitness.
