SCL-IPC RT $850 in J (Jan '17) good deal? book now or wait?
Hi, trying to determine whether we should book our flights now or wait for Jan 2017. SCL-IPC in J is pricing out at $850 RT (vs $521 in Y)- seems like a fair premium for 10 hours of flying, lie flat seas on a 787.
Looking back to earlier months (incl Dec '16), the prices are even cheaper ($760 for J, with Y varying a bit, but basically just barely higher than J). Summer months are even cheaper.
Should I assume that the cost of J round trip ticket for Jan would go down at some point, or should I grab now (in case this is atypical/some promo is running - I have no experience with Chile prices or LAN, so would really appreciate some advice!
From some google searches (people's trip reports, etc), it looks like $850 RT is close to what Y prices are in high season and booking closer to departure, so perhaps it's smart to buy now?
Thank you so much!

Sound like a good (final?) price. I'd definitely pay the extra 300 bucks RT for the J seats, considering each leg is around 5 hours.
It may go a tad lower, but as with everything regarding revenue management, you never know. I don't think it would go low enough (if at all) to justify waiting/risking

Thanks all. Bit the bullet and booked on the LAN Chile site, as tix were pricing out way lower (under $700 RT in J per person - while the US site had it in 4 digits). A bit annoying to navigate in Spanish, but well worth it Our dates were set, so didn't look around for better deals - this seems pretty hard to beat though

I'd have said that was a bit expensive. According to

you should be able to get tickets from around $510. Don't know if that applies in January though.
