It's just like when they said they didn't actually knew if they were staying in oneworld. They are just trying to buy time and convince (with legal or else methods) the Amaros that it's a good idea to have a LAN Brazil

"Estamos en la mitad del período de definición, y yo creo que hacia fin de año tendremos información sobre la nueva marca. Promocionar una sola marca será más fácil, y para el pasajero será más fácil de entender, al tener una red completa unida, sobre todo en los países donde nos conocen menos", dijo Cueto.
"Lo vamos a capitalizar en el (año) 2015", agregó.

I really don't care either but my opinion is that a one syllable name is almost never understood by people like cab drivers. e.g. if I say "LAN" to a cab driver entering JFK they almost always ask me to repeat and frequently come back with: "Oh, LAN Chile?"
My vote? "LAN AM".
