Well having the same seat in F as J for routes like SYD/BNE-ICN is pretty sad... is that long haul?

Well, I agree that SYD-ICN is really long-haul.
OTOH, AA does something similar, with a very similar seat in F on their A321T subfleet (JFK-based transcon) as their J seat for 77Ws.

Still a ways out but thinking of doing ICN-SYD next Feb, does anyone know the timeline for rolling this out to the rest of their fleet, and if this product has been flown on the ICN-SYD routes? Doing a quick google search, it doesn't appear like it has and there isn't a ton of info out on it outside of the press release and some blog posts.

TIA

February 2016 sees the A380 on ICN-SYD. No changes have been announced to the A380 hard product, so Kosmo Suites in F and Prestige Sleeper in J. It's a very nice ride, and no middle seats in J. KE is known for aircraft swaps when doing seasonal changes, but it appears that the A380 was just put on there when they built the winter schedule, so it's likely to stay that way.

ooh. Heading to and from BNE next month. Maybe we'll get a shot at this. I noticed that window gets the ottoman but aisle appears to have extra storage. shelf behind the window suit's wall.

My flight KE93 on Sept 13, ICN-IAD, shows that it has the Prestige Suite. Looking forward to trying out the seat.

How do you tell in your booking? I have SYD-ICN booked for April, and I'm curious whether we'll have the new seats. I also have a KE A380 flight on the itinerary, so I'm hoping our A333 has Prestige Suites in order to try both variations.

Ah ok, thanks. I'm on the A330, so it's 2-2-2 either way. Looking at the seatmap, it looks like row 57 is the easiest way to tell the A330 configurations apart. Old is 2-4-2 while new is 2-2-2. There has to also be somewhere else that 2 seats were removed because the size of Y went down by 4, but I can easily spot this one.

Yeah, I tried to delete my post after realizing you're on an A330.
If it helps, I originally found out by an email from KE indicating my reserved seat has been cancelled. I logged in to find to select new seats when I noticed the configuration was different, I was originally booked on an A380. So if you get an email, most likely it's an equipment swap.

IAD - ICN

Anyone been flying the IAD - ICN flights (KE093 & KE094)?
I have a January roundtrip coming up and hoping to try out the new prestige suites. Seat selection on Korean air show me the 2-3-2 configuration, but after seeing some posts online that the IAD - ICN flights are all the new seats, I started getting my hopes up.

If anyone has been flying this route, please let me know

I will update when my flight comes around.

Basically any wide-body aircraft to enter service in early 2015 or later has, or will have, the new seats.

777-300ERs to enter service in 2015 (Ships HL8006-11)
A330-300s to enter service in 2015 (Ships HL8025-27)
All 747-800i and (eventually) 787 aircraft to enter service

My first flight, ICN-IAD, in the new Prestige Suite was comfortable with good privacy compared to the other seats KE flies. The IFE was good quality.

I have another flight coming up JFK-ICN that also has the new seats, but unfortunately there was an equipment swap on the ICN-AKL flight from a 772 to the 747-400 which has the Prestige Plus seat. Not looking forward to that long haul overnight flight. I'll try to drink myself to sleep, but the thimble-sized glasses will make that hard.
