KLM Most Punctual Major Int'l Airline in 2014 - Flight Stats
KLM has received the 2014 flightstats.com on time service award for best on-time arrival performance amongst major international airlines, with an on-time arrival rate of 88.66%. They achieved better on-time arrival rates than all of the major north american, asia-pacific, middle eastern and african airlines, although were bettered by Finnair amongst airlines in the major European airlines category, who arrived on time with a rate of 90.58%.
Good job KLM!

Good job indeed. I believe that KLM with Schiphol most likely provides the most convenient big-hub structure within Europe (compared to the other big hubs Paris, London, Frankfurt). Let's hope that KLM will be able to further benefit from this
PS. The announced BA program changes might add more UK citizens to the FB program...

The BAEC changes make the Executive Club look a lot more like Flying Blue. But anyone fleeing these changes is unlikely to find anything of comfort in the Flying Blue programme!

Not really. It just seems bad cos it's a long roll to the terminal.
But you must consider that - if you were landing at Heathrow - you'd just be doing another 2 or 3 loops in the holding stack, rather than rolling on the ground....it's just human nature to want to be up and out of the plane 30 seconds after wheelsdown! Most people don't even notice that they are being diverted, held in a stack, and delayed in the air, because the "delay" is not happening on the ground.
