TSA Pre-Check on boarding pass when not supposed to be
Girlfriend and I flew up to BDL for the weekend. She is a light traveler and this was her very first B6 flight ever. Neither of us are registered for TSA pre-check.
After checking in online and printing boarding passes, her pass had a TSA pre-check logo on it.
She opted to ignore it and stay in line with me (as my pass didn't have pre-check) but once we got to the TSA agent, he highlighted it in yellow and sent her to the express line.
On our return to DCA, the TSA pre-check logo was absent from her boarding pass.
Has anyone else had TSA pre-check in error? I wonder how often this happens!

Yes, I frequently got the TSA pre-checks too. Was never sure why 'til I read an article that said random people who fit a "profile" would be selected for this; perhaps as a sales pitch as a previous poster mentioned.
I also heard that this (random pre-checks) program was going to be discontinued or cut back. Haven't flown much lately; we'll see.
