Thanks for the heads-up!

This is really weird, only available for UK...I hope this is only temporarily and not permanent. I've around 350k points that I was looking forward to redeem this way in late autumn.

Does anybody have some further information regarding this?

I have contacted the helpdesk about this issue and asked when they will be available again. So far, I got only the reply, that there have never been such cards in EUR . Provided them with some proof, that they have had such card, but I am without reply to that e-mail so far ...

They disappeared already at the beginning of September ...

The ordering still works via the old links: https://secure.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d...atalogId=PCAEU

Now, I don't know if the fulfillment still would work.

While I hope the following does not happen, I wouldn't be surprised if ICHG moves toward getting rid of the rest of the Any Hotel Anywhere Amex Card option as they've introduced the Hotels Anywhere (book instantly online) option.

Fair point. It makes little sense to have both, especially as the Amex cards are almost always a better deal anyway, and of course IHG is making a commission on all hotel rooms booked via Hotels Anywhere.

If this is indeed the case, we are looking at a well planned and carried out customer management exercise. "Just take it off the website, they'll notice soon enough"

About 18 months ago, they hiked the price of the Anyhotel cards overnight. I caused a bit of a stink about it on the AMB private community website (now closed) because no notice was given, and they changed it back. But, yes, PC does have a habit of changing award pricing with no notice - in fact, I can never remember getting advance notice of any increase in pricing.

Hopefully this isn't a sign of the fears of the long-terms results of ezrez hotels with points option introduced last year.

Hotels Anywhere rolled out in 2010 + no 4th Quarter % discount of Amex cards (for any region) + removal of redemption option in UK + at least one FTer being issued 200 pound Amex card in US Dollars =
the end of Amex Any Hotel/Anywhere Cards in the PC program?

However.....these cards are still currently available for US and Canada regions.
