I've been there thrice as a Plat Ambassador and received an Executive Suite each time. All stays were on cheap rates. ($110 or less)

Same experience from quite a few stays. Very nice hotel, indeed.

Has any RA's ever been upgraded to the Presidential suites? If they give exec suites to AMB seems like RA's would get one of the presidential suites.

As RA I got Exec Suite. Looks like they simply have low occupancy and/or not many Ambs.

They definitely have low occupancy. They also have a lot of Executive Suites and not much of any other suites.

The suite is nice and I think what prompts them to give the Exec Suite to Amb too is that there are not so many room categories that they could reasonably upgrade you too. Maybe they could make up some Exec room or give a Club room (if the Club wasn't used as a temp restaurant) but for now they are generous. No issue on my side as RA as long as I get my exec Suite too, nice one for the Ambs. Seems to be plenty of availability for now.

Been there 3 times as plat amb - suite upgrade, free wifi, movie and fruit/cheese/H2O plate. Also given free parking once (why they charge $22 to begin with is another discussion) - would stay at the Haytt regency nearby for their lounge access as Hyatt Diam - same parking issue, though

IC Chicago O'hare--not planned, but great stay

Hotel: IC Chicago O'hare

Booked: Corporate Rate King, received a 1 br suite

The Room: Wow, very nice. Very new hotel, and great
furnishings. The room has a 2pc washroom in the entrance
hall and then a massize bath off the bedroom. The master
bath has a soaker tub, and a seperate glass shower with
a rainfall type showerhead coming from the ceiling.
A fancy cylindrical sink and Elemis product.

The bedroom has a very comfortable bed, wardrobe, with
a safe in one of the drawers. A chaise lounge and a 42" tv.

The living room has a 42" tv, a sectional couch, a swivel chair
and a desk. The bar area has the mini bar and a keurig coffee
pod unit.

The Hotel: Also very cool. It is very modern. The location
is not so hot, but it is an airport hotel. We were here because
of crazy flight cancellation drama that had us originally going from
buf to mia via atl on Delta, but due to storms has us going
yyz to ord on United (hosted by AC), and our flight from ORD to
MIA that they booked us on didnt exist. They were able to get
us an American flight out 2 days later to Mia. But in the end
we were now caught in ORD for 2 days with no luggage and no jackets.
Ok, so the point is that a hotel with stuff to do was important
as we weren't going out. The hotel has a bar, 2 restaurants, a
coffee shop, a gym, and the entire public area is strewn with
art. There is a full time curator and it's neat to walk around
and check out all the different pieces of art available.

Kudos to IC Miami cancelling (without penalty) our reservation,
even though it was a day after the deadline. Thank goodness
as that was 457.00 / night.

The good:
Free internet for Ambassador's 'for a limited time' using 'ambassador' ,
'ambassador' as the code and password. Free 15 min on their
computers in the business centre per day. Which was great for printing.
Free boarding pass computer/printer set-up. Amazing upgarde. Keurig
coffee system.

The bad:
The location, that's their only fault.

Would I return?: Yes, wow, the regular prices are cheap. The
rate was $122/night.

IC Chicago O'Hare

I have stayed twice in the Intercontinental Chicago O'Hare last year and have written reports of my stay and also taken a short video of my stay.

Finally, I have had the time to finish the report and upload everything on my homepage. Click here for the report.

To sum it up, I like the hotel, it's modern, though the hallways are a bit dark. The bathroom is modern, but I would have prefered to have a hand shower in addition to the rainforest shower and the sink was nice but not very practical. The interior design of bedroom and living room was nice, but like in the hallways a lot of dark colors were used and I would have prefered sometimes a bit more vidid colors. But otherwise the upgrade were not bad and the suites really nice and big and a nice relaxing palce for the evening.

During both stays, the lounge were not used as lounge but used as restaurant istead.

Staff was friendly and the rates not bad at all.

This is only slightly more recent than the one I posted earlier:

http://nreionline.com/distressedinve...distress_0126/

But, I wouldn't worry too much about it -- the hotel has and likely will continue operating seamlessly to guests. I posted this mostly as an FYI for folks.
