Amstel or Paris Le Grand
Folks,
I have a BOGO voucher to use before the end of the year and want to have a nice weekend away somewhere.
Being a RA, what's the opinion from you folks...Amsterdam Amstel or Paris Le Grand as a good use of it?
I am also thinking of the IC Bordeaux..
Any opinions are welcome!
Ta.

The Amstel renovations are carrying on for a while yet, so if you go there I'd book a river room where you have a better chance of not having plastic sheeting covering your window!
For the whole 'nice weekend' experience, a Club room at Le Grand is a better overall package, taking into account the lounge, hotel location for shopping etc.
Upside of Amstel is that is a very small hotel, probably the most luxurious (service-wise, rooms are getting on a bit) IC in the chain with a Michelin-starred restaurant, lovely pool etc. If your plan is to do very little - except a modest stroll down to the Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh museum - then it is a decent choice. Book a 241 B&B rate as brekky is a) amazing and b) expensive (€45 each?).
