That's the capital expense. They spent 3 million on consultants to show them how to roll the dice.

Sorry. I prefer to be called Prestige Royal Ambassador, not Spire Royal Ambassador. The latter sounds too phoney and red-neck-alike full of self esteem.

This choice of name reminds me of the first Big 10 football conference division names: Leaders and Legends rather than directional (East, West) or locational (Coastal, Atlantic). They eventually gave in to public opinion which was that the names sucked.

I too have my hand ready for the face palm. Is it just me or did they now further edit the blurb about additional benefit details being disclosed in July to now simply state they are being rolled out in 2016? the https://www.ihg.com/rewardsclub/gb/en/account/home link is where I feel they have once again done some 11th hour sneak edits. So now, tomorrow, all I will be seeing is 25,000 points and an obnoxiously red color upon logging in. I will still see absolutely no other benefits over people who can afford a 59.00 per year credit card? To echo others, I was really hoping for additional property perks at the higher tier brands, such as free lounge access, or I would even take guaranteed "upgrades" on reward bookings, OR a discount of 5,000 points off the list point redemption rate compared to non Spire peasants. I probably should not boast too much, as I am not a high roller by any account. In comparison to some of you other road warriors, I have only stayed a total of 49 nights at IHG in 2015. That said I am still well above the 75,000 threshhold. It baffles me that their marketing department goes out of their way to identify the need to recognize their top tier, but then makes it abundantly clear that we don't actually deserve any quantifiable enhancements. Would even honoring a valid room upgrade (ie studio to a suite as opposed to "parking lot versus pool view" upgrade) really hurt their bottom line that badly?

Hopefully tomorrow there is another 10 day delay so the can change the name again and launch July 20.

Golds get

HIX - 200 or drink/snack
HI - 300 or drink/snack
CP/Indigo - 400 or drink/snack

It's a while since I've been to an SBS or IC so someone else might be able to confirm if there is anything at either of them.

With all these digital creations that IHG appear to be coming up with I hope they go down the Hilton route and let you pick what option you want and it automatically posts with the stay or if you select the drink/snack the voucher is ready or better still on your phone after you've checked in at the hotel.

There has to be a better way of managing it and keeping it consistent rather than the constant variations in the offer and the subsequent game of will they post them or will they not that follows.
Globally I have consistently gotten 600 at CPs, 600 at Indigos, 600 at Even hotels, and 500 at HI hotels, and 500 at Candlewoods.
In the US I have consistently gotten 500 at HX hotels.

So 300 in Bilbao seems low to me. Just sayin'. But I think it was a cheaper HX and also cheaper for points, so maybe the bonus points are a function of the redemption levels?
