AI award redemption - US to Hawaii

Looking for options from ORD to HNL on UA using AI miles.
Fare quoted was 35K miles and Rs. 10000 for return.
UA doesn't impose YQ for domestic, and taxes come to some $73 (Google Matrix). Any help of for what Rs. 10000 is being quoted ?

UA imposing YQ or not is of no concern when you are using AI miles for it.
AI imposes YQ on every Star Alliance partner redemption.

The rules of the award ticket issuing carrier are what count, not those of operating carrier.

ai imposes yq & very often the amount is almost what you would end up paying for a revenue ticket....not worth it in my opinion....

35K miles + INR 10000 against revenue ticket of INR 60000 seems like a deal.

The silver lining is that YQ remains the same for all classes on a given route. So redemption on a partner Business/First cabin makes YQ much more palatable, especially if you could never see yourself paying for a revenue premium class ticket on some aspirational airline.

Unfortunately, AI yet does not have stopovers (aka point to point tickets only) yet.
