Very Seldom I see Jet Business Class full even with current structure. I doubt this will happen for the domestic sectors. If it does then atleast the status holders will get more upgrades nevertheless

With the exception of AI Express which gives 30kgs on Gulf to Kerala sectors for "competetive reasons", ALL airlines are now down to 15kgs. AI full service allows 25kgs if you sign up to their Flying Returns program. I think GoAir allows you to buy 15 kgs extra baggage allowance for 500INR at the time of booking.

Jet has only 4 -700's - and these will stay because ops to some airports are heavily payload restricted with the -800's. PAT and IXL are 2 airports which have these restrictions, as well as Jorhat and Dibrugarh. So these should stay unless they withdraw from the route or operate with restrictions.

The original -900's were acquired mainly for BOM-DEL. The 2 original -900's had 32 J seats and ONLY did the BOM-DEL and vv shuttle. But now the route is extremely saturated with the 5 carriers having 11+ flights each. AI alone has 18-22 flights/day on this route with A321's, and word is they are upgauging half of these flights to widebody mix of 77W and 787. Then there is Vistara. So the -900's may well be the oddball of the 9W fleet.

I see atleast 3 diff layouts for the -800: most common 8J/162Y. Atleast 4 -800's will be with a 16J/136Y layout - with angled lie flat product in J - these will be required to operate the BOM/DEL to SIN routes with extensions to MAA and GOI. Atleast 6 more will be the 175Y layout used for Gulf flights some flights out of MAA.
