Vueling to set up Manchester base
Vueling are to set up a base at Manchester next summer.
2 aircraft will be based, however routes, frequencies and times are to be announced.
Recruitement should start shortly, and even on enquiring, Vueling customer services have confirmed a MAN base is due to start.
For the time being, the frequency of MAN-BCN has been reduced next summer 'to allow the addition of a Manchester originating aircraft', and the prices for MAN-BCN have gone through the roof to dissuade bookings until the schedule is ready.
Great news for the North West of England. Can't wait to see what new routes Vueling will introduce. Seville, Valencia, Santiago, Alicante, Palma and Florence amongst others have been rumoured.
There was also a press article a few months ago to which it was quoted that 'Vueling are interested in opening a route to Timisoara, Romania, from Manchester'. One would assume Timisoara would be a winter ski market route?
