FCO to ATH booking clarification

I am planning to book a flight from FCO to ATH. Initially was planning with RyanAir but with luggage it was costing $158 for 2 person. Upon checking with Iberia It will cost $140. So better to go with IB as it includes 1 cabin and 1 check-in free.

In the website it is showing as below for classic fare.

1 piece in the cabin
1 piece in the hold 1 piece in the hold

What does the hold mean? Is it same as check-in? Shall I buy ticket from IB website or vueling site? Loos like IB has lower fare.

Also how strict they are about luggage weight?

In the hold means checked in, you have 23kg.

Thanks. Any preference where to buy tickets? IB or vueling?

It should be similar pricing, but I prefer to book on iberia.com...
