Promotion now seems to have gone down to 4,000 Avios for a € 226 annual subscription.

Also recently posted. Applied 1 day before they started the "no cancellations" rule, hadn't chased it.

Question Weird one ... need help

Hi,
I wonder whether anyone can help me please.

I applied for this offer on 2nd Jan and on 1st March chased by e-mail as 4,000 miles had come through but no more. The Economist replied eventually, saying the offer was 4,000 not 12k and 4 is all they'll offer!

I have rejected this but they have refused any acknowledgement that 12k was on offer.

So strange!

Does anyone have a screen shot or print out of the offer while it was at 12,000 please?!

Sadly I didn't do it this time (I usually do so with credit cards but for some reason didn't think to with the magazine subscription) - I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks,
Paul

As of today, it seems to be still showing 12,000 AVIOS for UK, Spain and Netherlands but only 8,000 AVIOS for the USA. This is the offer till 30th June.

https://subscriptions.economist.com/...trpl/index.php

They said that the points will be credited in 4-6 weeks, but I can only cancel within 2 weeks of joining and only if I am in the EU (which I am). Looking at the costs, it looks as if the Uk has the cheapest rate.

So it begs to see when the points get credited..

Bumping my post -

How long before points get posted?

I'm hoping it will be before I cancel the subscription...

Ta!
