Latest 'your account summary' email

arrived this morning, and I wanted to check my lifetime points so I opened it to check...

And there's no account summary there at all. No tier information, no stays/nights YTD, no current points, nothing. Just a banner asking for my vote at the Freddies, and some info about promos, etc.

Ho hum...

That has been happening for me with both "statements" that were sent after the system upgrade.... no account info there.

Same as with UA . . . the supposed monthly "account statement" provides no actual account information, just marketing.

It's mildly disturbing because it says they now view "communication" as exclusively a synonym for "marketing opportunity" rather than for actually communicating with their (supposedly) most valued customers. We have become nothing but marketing receptors.

Maybe getting rid of the lifetime points tracking in the emails and the ability to review your lifetime account summary on the website is their way of quietly eliminating lifetime diamond......

Yes, I assume either retiring that loyalty level, or increasing the threshold ... I'm 5-6 years of constant work travel away from lifetime diamond, so I'm not sure if I should feel disappointed

The only useful information in the email for me was the opening of the Hyatt house Naples since that wasn't announced here in the forum (the HP San Juan was) - useful for me to create a property link in the property index sticky.

If they increase the threshold, I hope they pro-rate the increase for anyone at least halfway to the current one.
