Changing flags from Hyatt to Hilton
I stayed at this property this past weekend and noticed a "Change of Ownership" sign in the lobby window. Inquired about the change and was told that the property will be converting to the Hilton flag in the near future. This is disappointing as this was my go-to hotel in the area for my family and stay exclusively at Hyatt's whenever possible. The property is certainly showing it's age, but the service we receive at this hotel, especially by Lourdes, is always great. Not a Hilton fan, so we'll have to figure something else out for this area.

Your closest options would be Hyatt Places in Rancho Cordova or Roseville. I was in Rancho Cordova on Saturday night after a family wedding up the road and it was packed. Had to bring breakfast up to my room. Just the normal summer vacation crowd per the desk agent - no sports teams like I've seen there before. The one negative with that property is slamming doors all evening when they have a lot of kids on property. Seems to stop after 11pm.
The big advantage over in Roseville is plenty of restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes of the hotel.

Hyatt seems to give properties a bit of time (two years?) to fall into line with brand standards. This property has a great staff but the owner was not willing/able to put out the money required to bring the property up to date.

I stayed here recently and the property is not up to the Hyatt standard and other Hyatt House locations I have been to. The service was good and staff was very friendly and helpful, but the rooms really need an update/remodel.

Exactly my thoughts on the hotel. We kept going back because we like the 1 room setup for our toddler who is a light sleeper, but the actual condition of the hotel is iffy. My wife previously worked at an HP, and she couldn't believe some of the little things that were dirty/broken/cracked/etc. When we first stayed there 7 years ago, it was in much better shape. Still sad to see it lose it's Hyatt affiliation.

A new Hyatt House will be built adjacent to the existing property.

The Rancho Cordova Hyatt House was a corporate owned property. So it was Hyatt Corp who did not want to invest the money in it. I am surprised they put their flag on this property at all...
This was the last of the properties owned by "Select Hotels Group" which was just an entity controlled by Hyatt.
