Hyatt Place Kansas City - Overland Park - Metcalf REVIEW - MASTER THREAD

Had our team stay at this property.

Very close to I-435, ~40-50 minutes drive away from MCI airport, also ~5-8 minutes from the Corporate Woods business parkway.

Nice, clean, friendly service, typical Hyatt Place layout, hotel sits on a hill and is removed from the sounds of Metcalf & I-435 so nice & quiet sleep.

It was a hopping bar scene the two nights we spent there. Normally I may see 1 or 2 folks enjoying a beer/glass of wine but both nights most seats were filled.

Went to Argosy Casino one night (~25 minutes drive from this property)

Food options:
besides the Hyatt Place itself:
Had a good steak at j. gilberts www.jgilberts.com also really enjoyed their poblano potatoes, others in our group liked the white cheddar chipotle mashed potatoes.
Also Jack Stacks BBQ is nearby http://www.jackstackbbq.com/jack-sta...and-park/i/10/
If fast food is your thing, a McDonald's is within spitting distance of the HP.

Property served our needs well, would return in a heartbeat if in the area again.

I'm not really familiar with the Hyatt Place brand, but thinking of trying them. What is the breakfast like? It gets kind of confusing - seems alot of people still think of that location as Amerisuites.

I didn't have the breakfast but if it is like other HP's where I've stayed, then some fruit, cereal, breads/rolls. Sometimes a breakfast meat is served but that seems less and less lately.
