Hyatt Regency Naha, Okinawa REVIEW - MASTER THREAD

Since the HR Naha opened today, I think it's about time for its own review thread. Maybe the mods can merge the other threads in here?

Got August reservations booked and will chime in later.

Hyatt Regency Naha, Okinawa - Open

A mere 20-minute drive from Naha Airport, Hyatt Regency Naha, Okinawa is located between Naha’s main street of Kokusai Dori and Tsuboya Yachimun Dori, a historical street lined with traditional pottery workshops. The hotel – offering traditional, warm Okinawan-style hospitality – provides an energizing and refreshing place where both business and leisure guests come to connect.

I've got a suite confirmed for early August, so I'm looking forward to this hotel!

FYI, the first review I could find seems to be this one in Japanese (with copious photos):

Part 1 (exterior): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24219773/
Part 2 (lobby): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24220515/
Part 3 (The Lounge): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24222439/
Part 4 (Regency Lounge): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24222877/
Parts 5 and 6 (Club Deluxe Twin room): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24223424/, http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24223604/
Part 7 (cocktail hour): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24226990/
Part 8 (pool): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24227625/
Parts 9 and 10 (nighttime): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24229461/, http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24229544/
Part 11 (surrounding area): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24230339/
Part 12 (lounge breakfast): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24234148/
Part 13 (pool): http://shackinba2.exblog.jp/24233771/

Note that the hotel apparently does not allow Diamonds to take breakfast in the restaurant (Sakurazaka) or via room service.

Wowsas. One of the best looking Regencies I've ever seen. I have a photo of the hot tub but won't post it here for privacy reasons.

Nice! Can diamonds have breakfast at the restaurant too, or only at the lounge?

Looking to stay at the HR Naha later in the year, but booking on hyatt.com doesn't show any taxes or service charges (whereas agoda.com shows 8% tax and 10% service charge). Any idea or confirmation if the rates on hyatt.com are already inclusive of the taxes & services charges, or if it's a glitch on the website and they'll add additional charges at checkout?

Seems to be a glitch, but it shows the room total, so I would argue that you are not paying a bit more than that.

Hello Flyertalkers!

Please be advised that the rates shown on Hyatt.com for the Hyatt Regency Naha are inclusive of taxes and fees.

Thanks!
