Coupon rules for ORBHI200 seem to indicate that it is only valid for hotel+flight packages. See rule text below.

Special Offer

Book a qualifying flight + hotel package to Hawaii between June 1, 2008, and August 6, 2008, for 5 or more nights for travel between June 1, 2008, and October 1,2008, via Orbitz and instantly receive $200 off your booking through the use of the promotion code. To display qualifying packages, click “I have a promotion code.” and enter the promotion code, then look for packages marked with the icon “COUPON.” Limit one discount per hotel room and one promotion code per booking. Discounts are not redeemable for cash for any reason. Any attempt at fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted. Orbitz reserves the right to change or limit the promotion in its sole discretion.

Great!

This is a great list. I will be planning a trip to San Antonio in Sept for 5 nights, so the $100 off will help. Anyone have a list like this for Expedia? Orbitz doesn't offer all the hotels Expedia does, and I'm a real avid price shopper.
Thanks!

I thought it was 7DAYSALE2 and had to be booked by Aug 3 for travel by 10/31.

True but that is not what the OP listed. Listed in the OP's post is 7DAYSALE3 (3 is the key). It was posted in another thread on FT after posted in an SD thread but it has never been a valid code.

Folks, don't waste your time with this unless you are looking in one of these metro areas:
Eligible destinations for this promotion code are: New York City, Chicago, San Francusco, Orlando, and Boston.
I assume they mean San Francisco, not Francusco.

You're incorrect. Orbitz often says a promo code is just for a certain city or group of cities but more times than not, they're good for every city. Maybe not this one but 15% off is better than $35 off a 2 night stay in New York. This code could amount to $35 to $50 off per night or more.

Are you writing from past experience or experience with this particular coupon code?
(i.e., the "BIGCITYSALE15" code for New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Orlando, and Boston).

I always got a message that the coupon was not good when I tried other cities. If you have had success using this with any other cities, please provide details.

$50 off 3 nights: 50AFFORB [Exp. 12/31]

Just tried to use this for a trip in October to Las Vegas. The promotion code was properly applied on the page and took off the $50 from my 3 night stay, but on the final confirmation page, I did not get the $50 off!

After getting disconnected from their call center trying to fix this, I finally got a US agent (all others were in Phillipines) and she straightened it all out, and I will be getting a $50 refund on this promotion. The room charge was nonrefundable, but I was either going to have it entirely cancelled, or get the $50 back (I was determined). Happily she determined the code was supposed to work and said that I will be refunded.

Plan ahead and save up to 40% off Holiday Hotel Bookings & Other Travel Specials at Orbitz. Find discounts on select city and vacation resort locations. For example, get a fourth night free over Thanksgiving at the Hyatt Cancun Caribe Resort or save 40% off in San Diego over New Year's. Also find air fare specials as well as hotel + flight package discounts.

Savings available on bookings completed by September 19 although some discounts will remain while capacity remains available.
