Holiday Inn Express Bangkok $39

Bangkok often has many good hotel deals, so I realize there's a chance i'll be raked over the coals from posting this, but here it goes anyway:

Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn $1396THB/night ($39USD)
checked various dates in June

I've personally stayed at this property before. Very convenient to BTS. Good Wifi and breakfast. The hotel itself is only a few years old - so rooms were clear and good working order.

Not bad, prepaid though. THB1672 for the HI Silom as well in June, which means you can (usually) get upgraded room (so you don't have to look at the adjacent tower,) plus lounge access for about US$77 including tax, depending upon the "supplement" they like to charge.

That's a good price. The HIX Sukhumvit Soi 11 is usually a few bucks less. Slightly bigger rooms, a bit of a walk to BTS, more street noise, service not as good as HIX Sathorn...

Hyatt has 20 percent off in Thailand currently. Marriott has some properties on sale, for example Courtyard South Pattaya for 1188 baht ~ $33.50 some nights (May 13 for me). Yes, it is low season.

Is there a cheap Hyatt Property you know of in Thailand with the 20% off?

The lowest price for Hyatt in Thailand is probably the Hyatt Place Phuket for $77. Not that great of a deal in my humble opinion.
