Many dates late September and in October.

http://www.hotelscombined.co.uk/Hote...e=expanded%3D0

Not the best location but a very decent price for 5*.

when people cry foul when blogs "steal" deals from FT without giving credit, this thread demonstrates that it also happens the other way around.

this was posted yesterday by one of the popular blogs and was "stolen" by the OP.

(i use inverted commas because personally i dont think sharing a deal you found elsewhere is theft. this is the internet - things are supposed to be shared and spread around)

you cant have the best of both worlds.

What annoys me a bit is that I am actually in Dubai October 2nd - 4th, have not booked a hotel yet, but this offer ends on... October 1st :/

See for yourself Doesn't work for October 2nd - October 4th at least. Maybe because it is a weekend stay.

I guess you are right, I stand corrected. Couldn't find other dates in October.

Unfortunately, when I will be there after the 18th October, the price goes back up to €130 a night. I noticed other deals on that website you cited above, though. Hotel prices seem dearer than I expected during that week, maybe because the hot season is coming to an end? Is there any other reason this is the case?

Great deal for anyone who can get it, though, during September.

Having lived in Dubai for the past ten years, I can confirm its mostly weather related. Effectively from 1st Oct of each year the temp becomes much more pleasant (around 32c), while humidity also drops considerably.

Conferences, events, concerts, festivals,...etc start from Oct all the way to May, which means tons more tourists and businessmen/women flying in and hotel occupancy rates jump accordingly.
