Thank you, mod. Kindly post this very important link into OP, so as the link is more visible than just mention on one of the topic pages. Live fact is my bank account is $1,212 out on a $500 "Roomer opportunity" for already as long as two weeks (with no explanation by RoomerTravel of how it happened! and only endless pacifying messages "you'll get your refund one way or another") - every reader should be made aware of inherent risk on these opportunities

Dumb question on roomer- many of the offers are one or 2 adults. If it's 2 adults, can this include 2 adults and one child?
Can we pay the child surcharge later?

Hilton Atlanta(downtown)-->129 a night--> May 14-17th

Pretty good price since most hotels are sold out for these dates, since there are alot of festivals going on

To second SingePapas experience, I finally received a refund 3 weeks after I was told it would be received and after several emails assuring me it's on its way. Not sure if the company is having cash flow issues or not, but until it's better established I'll probably be holding off on any future reservations.

Sorry I don't recall the details of your Roomer Experience. Do post to the above (separate) thread, so that we all try and figure out the WEAK LINK of Roomer transactions. I'm still in the dark, as no light was ever shed by neither Roomer nor the hotel in my transaction

You can run quite a business just on the float. In fact, it can develop into a business in which the up front one on the marquee is a side business, albeit the engine. Some would say that that is the mark of success.

I know: "Everybody knows that."

Lightbulb

In fact, why couldn't this thread be expanded to include roomer-like deals in which someone can't use a reservation? FlyerTalk/Internet Brands doesn't always have to feed another company when FlyerTalkers can do the deed just as well here. And still stick to the rule about sticking just to deals. It's not Coupon Connection, even if supporters of Roomer here might want to mush the concepts. @:-)

Kicking Roomer's tires in this thread for the first time, I wondered why the thread is so sparsely added to, except by a couple of people, or even hit very much. There are some excellent deals, to be sure.

Kicking the tires on Roomer's website for the first time, I checked a couple of venues, and found that there are mainly hotels that are on its list across the summer. Has Roomer defaulted to offering another dumping channel for hotels/chains a la all the other familiar channels, until the concept takes hold? In the meantime, they're raising the caveat emptor bar. This is apart from the discussions above about how they appear to be working the float.

It is a good concept ^. Maybe it was like this for VRBO and Uber in the beginning?
