Just finished my stay without any problems. Everything prepaid and friendly staff. Typical airport hotel and great value for the price. Thanks OP^

Looks like our plans have changed and we won't be making it to Tokyo. What are the odds I can receive a refund? Should I even try?

Narita is the closest town to NRT via train which is only 1 stop away and takes 10 min. I visited it way back on a 4 hr lay over and had incredible sushi in a local restaurant frequented by businessmen within a short walk of the train station. There is an Accor hotel there as well. As other said there is a shrine there called Naritasan Shinshoji temple and worth a visit. But most shops close around 6 pm.

I mean it can't hurt to try--but I wouldn't put too much effort into it. You might ask if you can extend your stay a few extra days and keep the same rate--they'd likely say no, then you can push back and ask them to cancel.

Not sure... there was a post stating it was alive which prompted me to look for it, but it seems dead to me. Not sure if it was alive, but seems pretty dead now

Makes sense... unlikely it would last for so long.
