Allegiant plane at HKG

Today I saw an Allegiant plane at Hong Kong airport. How and why, anybody know? (they are a low-cost carrier in the US and don't fly across the Pacific as far as I know)

What was it? A320 or something?
Could have easily made it across the ocean with a stop or two.

Most likely in Asia for servicing.

Could be at HKG for a low cost D check or maybe paint.

Or it's a purchase that is at HKG for configuration before the long trip(s) across the Pacific.

Or maybe the plane is no longer with Allegiant.

OP, did you get the tail number from the plane?

There was a thread on A.net about this:

This is N328NV, ex-Cebu Pacific.
Allegiant have received a number of A319 and A320 from Cebu pacific and Philippine airlines the last couple of years and all of them sit in HKG while they are re-registered and other paperwork done prior to ferry to the US. Not sure why this particular aircraft has been in HKG a little longer than usual.
Link to the aircraft on PlaneSpotters

Sorry, did not get a good look. Just saw Allegiant painted on the side. Next to the Cathay planes

Don't be surpised.

HAECO works on many U.S. registered aircrafts (due to significantly lower cost).
