Hilton Florence Metropole {ITA}
I am planning a trip to Italy next year and just noticed there is a Hilton in Florence ? 1st time I have seen it on the website. Anyone been there before ?

this is quite interesting
This location is a perfect addition to Hilton Propertys in Italy. Especially when the Venice one opens. I did a search and found it on google. They were taking resv but on the hilton website it shows no availability through dec 06. I guess ill call them and see whats up 
Diamond desk says they are open. quoted me a rate of 280euro for next april. non smoking roms are not avail. I hope they get their pricing together. For that price I can rent a little stone cottage

You are correct, it's outside the city center.
......just 15 minutes from the historic heart of Florence...
But parking is not too expensive at the hotel:

What makes you think it's opening in autumn 06? I just did a reservation there for the last week of December and it shows availability.

italy will become an awesome tour in the next year or so ^
