upgrade offers during reservation for diamonds
When ever I make a reservation, they always tell you that you have some standby upgrade offers. Sometime, when I click on it, it say that I get to upgrade to a certain room for $0 but most of the time, it would want me to pay extra.
IE: I'm staying at the Hilton LAX this coming December mainly because it has an EL, but from what I understand I only have access if I get the Executive floors For this particular reservation, it' wants an extra $5 a night to get high floors.
How does that work for Diamond member since we're eligible for the upgrade anyways?

Executive Floor Lounge Access Policy: The following policy applies at all ConradŽ Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree by Hilton™ hotels with Executive Floor Lounges. Executive Floor Lounges are available only at select properties.
