Help booking an Axon or VIP...not sure what to do
Hi,
I've read the Axon/VIP thread and I'm still not sure what to do. I'm trying to book an anniversary trip to Maui. We are staying 7 nights and I have about 310,000 pts. I know I won't have enough for the whole stay, but would like to use points for part of it. It's at the Maui Waldorf-Astoria and it's 70,000k a night. What is the Axon redemption for 4 nights? I think I read 40% less points, but I'm not sure on that. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Look for a Hilton that is a category 7. When you find it ( and if you are a Hilton Amex/Surpass cardholder) you can book two four night stays ( 8 nights total) at 145K points per 4 nights so the 8 nights will cost you 290K points. Maybe someone else can help if you have to stay the the WA as I am not familiar with how awards work at the Waldorf.

You are going to stay there on high season rate. You can get VIP reward using normal website booking.
VIP for 4 nights = 68,000/night = 272,000 pt
VIP for 5 nights = 64,000/night = 320,000 pt
VIP for 6+ nights = 60,000/night
You could try to get another 10,000 pt and book 5 nights on reward stay and pay for 2 nights.
