Seeing as the points/miles for my most recent stay have posted, I was just about to toss my folio, when I noticed a charge that I don't believe was on my other stays here.
It was for "Rm Attendant Gratuity" for $10.50 per day.
Anyone else have this charge? anywhere else?
This charge is not listed at Hilton.com when you book a room.

I too had that same charge at this property.
I was told it was optional.
This would have been nice information upon check in...I typically leave someting for the room person when leaving in the AM each day.

Nassau Getaway
Is anyone familiar with this reward(NAS3) for 3 free nights at the British Colonial? At 170k pts it seems expensive considering you could get 3 free nights 100k using SP5(3 nights at Premium Hotel). Am I missing something that the getaway package includes? Thanks.

That being said, It's a very nice property IMO, Wife and I like it alot and have stayed a few times here.
However it is not the laidback beachfront experience that most people probably picture for the Bahamas

We were in Bahamas a couple of weeks back.
Compared to the snowstorm at ORD, the weather(75F-82F/60) was a welcome respite. Water temp was in low sixties. A tad cold for me but it was still swimmable.
In late Jan, it would definitely be better.

British Colonial, Nassau availability
I've been checking on rooms at the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau, Bahamas for the past week, on and off. I have checked over several weekends but I can only seem to get rooms using Expedia. Is the hotel *that* popular?!?!
Any suggestions on where else to check?

Welcome to Flyertalk sdux
I think it is agood property for leisure travelers as well, just realize that you have a very small beach and are in downtown Nassau (which I like because you can walk to many different restaurants).

That is the only Hilton property in Nassau. Try using your HH Gold reservation number to book it. It's a great hotel for business travelers, request an upgrade to take advantage of the executive floor. Enjoy!</font>

Glad to hear it worked. Enjoy your stay!
Sweet Willie: Thanks for the welcome. I've been reading for a couple of months, just recently joined. I enjoyed your recommendation on San Juan- I'll be there at the end of the month. Thanks!

But whatever you do, don't be tempted by the "Great Atmosphere" at the "Pirate Pub" down the road. The food stinks, the service sucks and all in all it tainted my impression of Nassau very badly, especially since it was recomended by the Concierge. I suppose I have only myself to blame... With a name like "Pirate Pub", what can you expect!
The Restaurant just accross the road from the hotel however is very good, despite trying to be an all-american Sports Bar (not the place I usually frequent).
