Earn up to 100,000 Bonus Points with the Multi-Brand Stay Challenge (Targeted?)

My wife, who just got to Silver, received the following challenge via e-mail this morning:

"EARN UP TO 100,000 HHONORS BONUS POINTS
WHEN YOU STAY AT OUR 10 DISTINCT HOTEL BRANDS.

From Hampton® to Hilton Hotels & Resorts, there's a hotel brand for every one of our guests to enjoy. And now we're giving you even more of a reason to enjoy them all. Sign up for the Multi-Brand Stay Challenge and you'll be on your way to earning thousands of Bonus Points when you complete a stay of at least two nights with multiple brands in the Hilton portfolio.
Earn 4,000 Bonus Points when you stay at any one of our 10 brands
Earn 6,000 Bonus Points when you stay at a second brand
For every stay after that at a different hotel brand, you'll earn 10,000 Bonus Points per stay
Stay at all 10 brands and you'll earn an extra 10,000 Bonus Points, for a total of 100,000 Bonus Points"

Not sure how appealing, or realistic it is to actually meet the 100,000 point requirement. From Hampton in all the way to Conrad and W/A.. Someone would really need to be dedicated and have a pretty expansive travel habits to even find all the brands.

I assume the 10th brand is HGVC. Not so hard if you want to hotel hop in certain cities. You can get seven right there in AUS.

Definitely targeted ( as it clearly states on the registration page ).
Tried to register anyway and got the message that I was not able to register for this promotion online.

The message I received when I tried to register online was that I could not register online, and I would need to call Customer Service.

So, I called Customer Service to see if there was any way to sign up for this promotion, and after some investigation, the rep said that her supervisor told her it was only available to targeted people, and those people had been identified by the marketing department.

I asked if there was any way to contact the marketing department to request to be added, and she said that her supervisor had told her that there was not.

Anyone here have any other suggestions? I'm currently Silver but have been Diamond in the past. This offer would certainly encourage me to shift some upcoming travel to Hilton family brands.

Exactly! Since Hilton had devalued HHonors Points in the past, I don't want to say it is not appealing, I just don't trust Hilton on this kind of promotion.
(God knows what you can do with 100,000 HHonors Points if Hilton will have another point devaluation in the future).

It would be more tempting if Hilton can offer free night. (a.k.a Marriott MegaBonus)

FYI.....Although not targeted I contacted HH via email to ask if I could be registered. No luck but they did give me a counter offer on 2500 pts on my next stay which I accepted.

Their explanation although disappointing was not unreasonable....."The targeted promotion was mailed to an audience of people who generally focus their travel outside of Hilton". ....." From a marketing position, we were looking to invite this particular group to join HHonors and stay. This is not something that is financially feasible to offer to all of our members as it would limit the benefits that we currently are able to offer the various tier levels"....

Here's my rejection letter

Mr. PG,

Please know that I have spoken to the Supervisor of HHonors Membership as well as the Director of Guest Assistance about your inquiry. Please know that we will not be able to add the promotion to your HHonors account.

Please see below:

We do value your longtime loyalty to Hilton Worldwide (***SNORT!!!***) and understand your frustration (GUFFAW!). Throughout the year Hilton HHonors Members are extended targeted (NOT ME) and non-targeted promotional offers. Targeted offers are not only extended to the targeted new audience of customers but also to existing HHonors Members who meet a certain criteria with our partners. We make every effort to offer multiple promotional offers throughout the year to ensure our most valued guest have more earning opportunities.

Mr. PG,

I’m very sorry that you aren’t able to take advantage of the promotional offers extended to you (MM HMM). Perhaps you will be able to take advantage of these offers in the near future (I'LL BE RIGHT HERE HOLDING MY BREATH). I truly appreciate your loyalty to the program over the years and do hope you continue to make Hilton your first choice of travel (RIIIIIIIGHT).

Sincerely,

Mr. Well Meaning HHonors Dude

Thumbs down We need a Code

Hilton Diamond Desk told me tonight that we need a Code from the targeted email. If anyone has it, please post it. Not sure if they area all different but without that code, if you did not get the email, there is no way to sign up.
