09 Nissan Altima

I drove the Altima 2.5 for 2 months and it handled the slick road conditions in wintry Chicago with no problems. The only concern I had was the keyless start feature. I was able to start the car without the key in my possession, drove about 2 miles to the grocery store, realized my mistake when I tried to lock the car and found i didn't have the remote, then was able to re-start the car and drove home. So, driver beware. Not sure if this feature is similar on other cars with keyless start functionality.

09 Mustang Convertable

I was upgraded from a Pontiac G6 to a Mustang Convertible. It was heavenly. I highly recommend it. It was like driving an open cockpit rocket.

2011 Camry

Hey All-

I put 1400 miles on a Hertz Camry weekend before last. (LA --> Grand Canyon --> Vegas --> Hoover Dam --> LA) Pick up milage was 4100, DO was 5500. Picked up the car, as expected it was very clean. It had no floor mats which I though was odd, however I assume someone had stolen them. About 500 miles into my trip the Maintenance Required Light came on. I assume it needed a oil change, but oh well.

The car itself drives like a can opener. Not an exciting car, rather just the typical A --> B transportation. The seats were comfortable for the first few hours, after that I get a pain in my lower back. The lack of lumbar support is truly egregious. The steering wheel is pushed far to far forward. I'm 5'11" and constantly had to feel like I was stretching to hold the top of the wheel, while my legs were in the correct position to operate the pedals.

All-in-all, if you are doing a little driving for a couple days and don't really care what Hertz gives you, then go for it. If you can swap over to a Fusion, or an Altima I would highly recommend it.

We have decided to make a more up-to-date thread as many of the cars in this thread are no longer in the Hertz Fleet and therefore no longer relevant.

This thread is being locked - please follow the new thread here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hertz...l#post17629732

Thanks,
