Why rental at EWR are so expensive?

You would need to take the Airtrain to the EWR train station.
Take NJ transit train to Newark Penn station.
Then take PATH train to Exchange Place.
-OR- Just take a taxi from EWR to Jersey City.
The first option will take you about 45-60 minutes. It's pretty easy unless you have a lot of luggage.
The cab is certainly more expensive but pretty easy.
There is also a Hoboken HLE, but I have never been. Probably the same cost / time via taxi.
