Does anyone have advice for the most efficient use of Gold Plus Reward points?

Long distance one-way out of NY or CA, where CDW is $9/day and the paid one-way rates can be very expensive.

One-Way awards are usually the best way to. You can also use awards for peak rental periods when locations are busy, or for special events where rates are unusually high.

I needed a 7-passenger SUV in Hawaii over the Holidays and ended up getting 4 weekend nights on points. They wanted $335/day for the 7-passenger SUV.

Long one-way rentals can be better, but this was definitely one of my better redemptions.
