2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Ride Report
GLS 2.4 Auto AWD
Class: SFAR
Special Options: XM, Bluetooth
Engine: 2.4L I4, 16 valves, 175 hp @ 6000 rpm
6 speed automatic transmission
20 mpg city / 25 mpg hwy
AM/FM Radio/ CD With 172-Watts and 6 Speakers
Manual driver seat with manual lumbar/ cloth seat
Pros:
Great mpg for full size SUV
Great transmission for engine. At 70 mph engine was at 2,500 rpm.
Surprising power for a 4cyl engine
Cons:
Manual seat with not much leg room. Wished seat would go back farther.
Radio was underwhelming. Sound was flat and had no depth.
Seemed to be lacking features. Had bluetooth, but not much else. No name radio, no backup camera, basic instrumentation
Summary. Overall its a good SUV, but lacking in fun. Handles well and would have no problem using for local rentals, but for longer trips would want something more comfortable in seating and with more features.
