Vienna hotels?

Wow, had to revive this old thread. Need a hotel which is close to the nightlife and the city sights, any suggestions would be welcome. Only one night, June 21.

Vienna hotels?
Vienna has excellent public transport, and no gay only hotels. Without knowing your price range and elite preferences, its hard to recommend one of the hundreds of hotels.

Not looking for a Gay only hotel. We have a day to spend in Vienna and need a hotel which will be in between the gay night life. Do not want to spend over US$200, as we also do not need breakfast.

There is gay nightlife all over the city, but the biggest cluster is by Nachmarkt down to Pilgrimgasse. This area is not near "the sights", but is near the subway. You will likely have to choose between staying by gay bars or by the sights, and as mentioned above, there is easy public transport.
There is a Holiday Inn, Vienna City, not far from the gay area, and in your price range (~$125).
Closer to the sights (the Innere Stadt), there is less in your price range. The K+K Hotel Maria Theresia and Hotel Austria are well-reviewed and inexpensive and conveniently located.
