Smile 3 nights in amsterdam: 5/17 - 5/20

Smile 3 Nights in Amsterdam with Family: 5/17 - 5/20

As a good gay uncle I am taking my niece to see the food/cultural sights in Amsterdam, after time in Paris; however, I am appealing to my good gay brethren for some solid
recommendations with the often elevated gay aesthetic, in my experience. The suggestions can be gay friendly or at least gay appealing but not mandatory with some very late planning here :

1) 3 great food destinations ... at all price points;

2) 3 great visual interior spaces to see or experience;

3) 3 unique gems in Amsterdam, of any stripe;

4) A solid boutique - ee hotel canal-side though I am uncertain about best location;

5) A great gay bar when I want to experience a quick slice of gay Amsterdam solo, and

Happy to meet some Dutch locals for some great conversation with at least some wine!

We found the bar scene a bit depleted when we were in AMS in June of 2016.

We did attend the Eagle - which is leather and very late night - lots of cruising bars close by.

We did attend Church - a well known night club - and saw a dreadful drag show - of which we have seen better in Sydney.

But there are options available.

We asked for guidance from the stall holder at the rainbow kiosk - just adjacent to the Homosexual monument

I my experience food in Amsterdam is expensive and not very good. At least that's how it's gonna seem after Paris. I guess Indonesian food is probably your best bet in Amsterdam.

Was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago and had good experiences after some searching. Highly recommend Tales & Spirits. Excellent cocktails and very solid food. Not an overly touristy environment, though there's definitely a lot of English being spoken.
