Sorry to nitpick, but during the summer, when St Catherine is closed to traffic and decorated with pink arches, the Village is defined as running from St Hubert to Papineau. Since the Gouveneur is on the corner of St Hubert and St. Catherine, that would place it at the very beginning of the Village.
I think bed and breakfasts have their charm, but for a business trip with a little socializing on the side, I'd go with the Gouveneur.
