6-8 hours in Munich: What to do?

Hey all! Dragging up an old thread instead of starting a new one (FT points to me!)
Tomorrow I fly to Munich from O'Hare.. Land just after 9am.. Don't need to be in Garmisch until later.. Probably 7pm.. What I can tell the DB runs hourly and takes a bit over an hour so I have up to 8 hours to spend in Munch if I choose.. Suggestions for this time of year?
Data: Beer lover, food lover, old and spectacular stuff lover (castles et al)..
