CC AF due - cancel, downgrade, or...

Subject says it all. Called Barclay today. No retention offer and no option to downgrade to no-AF F9 card. Interestingly they can convert it to Barclay Rewards MC or Arrival-. The former has 10K bonus after spending $1k. I forgot to ask if A- comes with std 20K bonus after $1k. If so, that might be the best option (I was thinking of getting it anyway and this saves a HP).

Has anyone converted it to A- and got 20K?

I only have 10K in F9 acct, so not worried about losing miles (will use it before then).

I cancelled mine earlier this year but would advise against cancelling if you have any plans to use your miles, even 10,000. When I called to cancel I was offered the option to downgrade to the no-annual-fee version but at the time I was so frustrated with Frontier that I just wanted to cancel. I should have downgraded just to extend my AAOA and to have a card that still waives the close-in award fees.

Sorry I can't contribute as far as converting to one of the other cards, I just recommend not canceling. At the very least go to the no-annual-fee version.

They're not giving me that option. Will HUCA once.

I recently cancelled - just had them move my credit line to my American Airlines MC. Only took a few minutes.

Couldn't make up my mind, so applied for #2 (figuring 90% chance of instant denial). What do ya know, approved with high CL!

Best outcome possible.
