Any idea when the schedule will be extended to cover the holidays?

I've been watching it each morning as well. Not sure if they'll have any basic award level seats available over the Thanksgiving holiday, but if they do I'm hoping to jump on them since I'm sure they'll go quickly.

I hope so I want to tie down some holiday travel.

Southwest publishes the dates they will extend their schedule. They just opened their schedule through January 4th and on June 30, 2015 they will open their schedule for sale through March 8, 2016.

Twitter says they only know when it's published.

I called and asked a res agent. laughably inept, could barely explain in english that schedules are posted for only 6 months out. I guess I'll check their twitter account?

I'm pretty sure the sure current schedule was posted more than 6 months out. The last date is still almost 5 months away and I booked some flights back in March, when the same schedule was up.

Ok I called back and got someone who knew how to find the answer. Post October schedule won't be posted until end of June!

Unless of course they were misinformed as well.

I find it ridiculous that they charge a fee for booking less than 6 months out but they only offer flights more than 6 months out for a period of about 4 days after releasing the new schedule.

they charge a fee for award tickets less than 6 months out and its waived if you have their Frontier Credit Card (the version with and without the annual fee).

It's strange in my opinion. I know that some routes are new and experimental (e.g. PHL-IAH), but other routes are pretty much guaranteed to run routes (e.g. DEN-LAS, DEN-DCA).

I'd think Frontier would want to attain the additional revenue of purchased tickets for guaranteed to run itineries past October at this point, even if the full schedule isn't decided and Frontier is awaiting for load factor and revenue performance for the experimental routes.

Frontier likes to craft schedules partially on routes that operate seasonally, so summer performance might not be a factor for winter schedules anyways. For example, I'm sure TTN will be heavy on Florida with PBI and RSW possibly as daily, while ORD, DTW, and MSP are suspended.
